Riu Santa Fe Resort is Huge

You thinking of heading over to Riu Santa Fe in Cabo?

Then bring some walking shoes, because you're in for a surprise if you got the ocean view rooms. They say third's a charm, and finally, on 3rd visit, I got the best suite on premises as shown in video.

This is arguably the best suite on premises. Perfect view and privacy.

Let me mention this ASAP!! There is no room service at this resort, it's just too huge and also a mid category of resort. It's still nice, just not as attentive as the neighboring RIU resorts which are all adult resorts.

The Suite rooms are very spacious and nice. The Jacuzzi on rooftop and whirlpool inside suite can get really hot, so careful when going inside if you get lucky and get this room.

After an active day, one can place epsom salt for your sore muscles if you've been out and about, dancing all night long or tired from those long walks.

Depending on your capacity and velocity, it can take a 10 to 15 min to get to beachfront building 7.

If you wait and request and get a bell boy to take your luggage, get ready for a long walk. Tips are always appreciated by them and is a common practice at all resorts.

You will have to walk everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The only way they will serve food in ocean view building  7, is if it's full to capacity and need more seating. Otherwise, you'll have to walk and burn off those calories.

Here's a tour of the resort.

Food.

They have an omelette bar where you have the typical ingredients of an omelette.

I myself like RIU buffets because they have a lot of variety. They have about 5 types of rice and 5 types of fish, etc. Just keep in mind that most items are fried. Talking about fried, RIU has one of the best fries I have ever eaten in the entire world. Their fries are really good.

If you miss a mealtime or are wearing trunks or swimsuit and don't want to go to room to dress, they serve nachos and hamburgers and hot dogs in between swim up pool bar main gigantic pool.

I personally love the swim up pool bar because it's the best feature at this resort for me. Just make sure you put on plenty of sunblock to not come out of pool looking like a lobster all burned up.

Guys, since this is an all inclusive resort, it means unlimited beer, liquor, mixed drinks and shooters. You have all day and evening to drink, so pace yourself. Just FYI, all liquor served at all all inclusive resorts are watered down.

I inquired with a supervisor regarding the watered down liquor and explained that the reason is to not get drunk too quick for guests that drink.

Just take it easy since you have all day. We were there during Spring Break and Semana Santa, so it was jam packed that month.

If crowded, be patient with bartenders and if you could afford it, tip well if they treat you well.

The crowd was flooded with Spring Breakers and partying all day and night long. If you're festive and like to party, go during busy periods like Semana Santa or Spring Break. If you want to relax, go during down season.

We saw military officers armed and roaming patrolling premises. I inquired their presence and they stated that it can get rowdy during Spring Break and Semana Santa and that's why they were there.

There they had karaoke and some dancers. The best performance were the mariachis.

Since it was spring break season, after the show of entertainment was over, guests would bring their own blue tooth speakers and make their own gathers in the main plaza. It was like an unofficial dance floor.

Check out was easy. Call a bell boy if you have plenty of luggage or want to save your luggage from the trail they have. This is a huge resort with 7 0r more compounds/buildings.

FYI, there's no room service here, so don't expect to have someone bring you french toast because they don't offer that here. That's next door at the all adults RIU resort.

Would I come back?

Yes, because I know what to expect and the only bad thing I experienced was a 10 minute walk to eat breakfast until the weekend when it got busy, they then served breakfast at building 7.

Thanks for reading my blog.
